Senator Richard Blumenthal has sharply criticized World Liberty Finance (WLF), a decentralized financial platform with ties to former President Donald Trump, for what he describes as an "inadequate" response to a congressional inquiry. The platform, led by Zak Folkman, Chase Herro, and associates of the TRUMP family, facilitates digital asset trading, lending, and borrowing.

Blumenthal’s rebuke follows WLF’s recent letter addressing a notice of investigation. The senator alleges the response deliberately avoids addressing concerns that foreign entities could exploit financial entanglements to compromise Trump through his affiliation with WLF. "Their refusal to answer basic questions about presidential exposure to financial risks raises serious red flags," Blumenthal stated.

The controversy highlights growing scrutiny of cryptocurrency platforms with political connections. WLF’s decentralized structure—while enabling peer-to-peer digital asset transactions—now faces bipartisan questions about transparency and potential conflicts of interest.
